Road Trip to Arizona!

This weekend we took a road trip to Arizona. Before we left the only thing that Rhianna knew was that we were going to Arizona and staying in a hotel. We left Friday night to head to Williams, Arizona to stay in a Quality Inn. This was actually really fun because right behind our hotel was a gated area that held horses. When we arrived there when we opened the door Rhianna said the funniest thing. She asked us "What is that smell?!" and we all replied..."it's that fresh country air". Kids are funny.
After we woke up in the morning we headed to the Train Station in Williams. We ended up getting there about an hour and a half early so we had lots of time to take in the scenery and the show the "cowboys" put on for us on the stage (pic below).

When you look at this picture make sure to zoom in on Rhianna's face. Priceless!

Rhianna sitting on an old Train that was at the station.

On the train ready to go! 2 1/2 hour train ride from Williams, AZ to Grand Canyon. Big Smile!

This was apart of the free entertainment on the train. This guy was amazing! he played the accordion, and 3 kinds of harmonicas. At the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. Chris and Ben And on our way back to Williams our train got Robbed! (the same actors that put on the show back in Williams) The boys ended up being really scared and started crying. When the first robber saw how upset the boys were he gave them a present, real shell casings!

After we got back, we headed for Flagstaff, AZ. When we got there we got to eat at one of our favorite places, Cracker Barrel. It ended up being Rhianna's first time there. She got to experience a lot of stuff for the first time. When we got up in the morning we headed for Walnut Canyon (a National Park)to hike the trails. This is a garden that the Rangers are growing exactly how the Indians in the area use to grow crops. This is a really pretty plant that had two different kinds of flowers growing out of it

Here are some pictures of some old ruins that we had to hike to.

This is called Island Rock.

We had such a great time in Arizona. It is so beautiful down there that I wish we could go back more often!
